About Fleet
Fleet are no ordinary rock band. Boasting 5 energetic musicians and a sound to match, they are the new embodiment of raw, millenium rock. Their fresh, melodic anthems deliver class and brash in equal measure and offer that distinctive Fleet sound.
The band consists of frontman Nick Long (vocals/guitar/piano), Luke Holloway (guitar/percussion), Mike Rowe (lead guitar/piano), Alex Reeve (bass/vocals) and Rebecca Searle-Jones (drums).
Hailing from Essex, Fleet formed 4 years ago and have since established a dedicated fanbase from a series of local dates in their hometown. "We knew each other from school and just shared a complete love of music", declares the band's lead singer Nick Long. "We're something for everyone. We all bring different things to it."
Fleet have spent much of 2005 touring as a support act on nationwide tours and played their first two festivals in September - the Rock Cave at Guilfest and Party in the Park in Leeds, to 72,000 people.
Signed to Manchester-based Cosmo Records and distributed by Atlantic Records, the bands musical influences include Bruce Springsteen, Oasis and the Foo Fighters, which is evident in their love of performing live. "We really try and capture what we do live on the CD, we don't want it to be too far away." says bassist Alex Reeve. |
